June, Old Strathcona Painting, National Indigenous History & Pride Month


 June 2022, The Grindstone and Icebox/ Pride

2022-06-30, painter's notes the Last Day of Pride Month, I gave my first June painting 'Grindstone and Icebox, Pride' to these 2 ladies who volunteer for the Mustard Seed, across the street from the comedy theatre. They plan to hang it inside the Mustard Seed center where they offer multiple services to the local homeless folks in Old Strathcona.
2022-06-30 Last Pride event was staged at the Alberta Legislature/ Noon Hour Sketch Study.

2022-06-16 On Location, Edmonton, Old Strathcona, The south end of the High-Level bridge, railway, pathways, wooden staircases, and wildlife. Above, were blue skies, golden sunshine and trolly car wires.
Sarah points to where she spotted a coyote just walking by.

 

2022-07-21 Old Strathcona, High-Level Bridge Streetcar: My debt is now paid in full, thanks for the ride to the tram car operator who drove me, a starving artist across the high-level bridge a few weeks ago. I gave him a #LISTEN label #AbLeg The Speakers banned Speech & Wear T-shirt XL. Thanks for the ride Edmonton City Staff, LRT & ETS.

Community, Summer, Saturday & Amoy painting the Canadian Rockies

2022-06-24 Painter's notes: On day 2, I got by with a little help from several passersby. The teacher watched while 3 students added the excess paint to the backside. I added their names to the back of the painting.  #AbLeg 11th hour #TGIF #outsiderart self-taught/ influenced by Lawren Harris paintings/ Group of Seven. #intuitiveArt 45 minutes, brush cleaned once, slapping paint on like porridge/ See 2014 Maligne Lake 1924. Helper's Ann, Saturday, Summer, and Amoy.
Instinctively I knew it was time to pass the drum onto Dr. Raj Sherman, Spring Solstice day.
